The high school equivalency program, also known as the G Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) program, prepares students to obtain a Senior High School Equivalency Diploma.
If you did not complete high school, getting your CAEC now may open the door to a wider variety of employment opportunities. It will also enable you to continue your post-secondary education should you be looking for other ways to enhance your career opportunities.
Students must pass five tests which demonstrate their level of education is equivalent to that of a high school graduate. These tests will be used to evaluate their knowledge of:
The length of the CAEC program relies largely on the student. It will vary depending on the amount of classes they have to take and the rate at which they are able to take them. Everyone is different.
